North Lake Tahoe offers some of the best

North Lake Tahoe offers some of the best ski resorts in the world. However, the task can be daunting nature of the choice of a ski resort when there is so much good. Here are some recommendations:
First Squaw Valley: probably the best site in the Tahoe Basin. Amazing facilities (where the Olympic Games held in 1960). If you have steep slopes, this resort is for you. As for disadvantages, there may be a bit expensive if you do not have a subscription. A typical day in the top rates are $ 80.
2nd Alpine Meadows: The terrain is similar to Squaw Valley. With stunning views of the surrounding mountains. And the best part of the Alps, it has more of a local flavor and is cheaper than many other resorts around Lake Tahoe. You can often have good deals on Alpine. Keep your eyes open in supermarkets and shops ski.
Northstar At Tahoe 3rd: This resort is more a family resort. If you ski the steep and deep North Star is probably not for you. But if you want a great time with the family, is a North Star Quant village and fun runs for each performance level.
Fourth Sugar Bowl: This is one of the first ski areas in the Tahoe Basin. It is definitely a classic. Good soil for each skill, reasonable prices, good prospects, but I got it all.
5th Homewood: A small ski area on the West Bank. Not much expert terrain, or breed, but blowing out the other ski resorts in one category: the view. Homewood has the best views of Lake Tahoe from every ski resort.
These are just some of my favorites. There are many more around the Tahoe area, but I encourage you to check them. Have fun there!
